Ed: Bwa-hahahahahahahahaha. Harris doesn’t realize that she IS the bust. This is entitlement ramped up to delusional levels. That’s what results from someone being handed everything in her career. Speaking of delulu …

Jeffrey Blehar at National Review: The stars have been aligning for a potential disaster: a Democratic senator from Texas. Trump is nowhere nearly as popular among Hispanics as he once was, because of simple pocketbook politics. Paxton will be toxic. All the Democrats have to do is nominate someone bland and inoffensively competent-seeming — a UT Austin tackling dummy would do — and find themselves with a prebaked 47 percent of the vote in the race, with room to grow. With an eye toward all the forces at play that are making a nationwide 2026 walloping of Republicans likely, I watched this race develop early in the year and wrote a two-word lament in my notes: “Roy Moore.”
But now there is hope — not the hope that Paxton will suddenly become a decent person, or even popular statewide, but hope that the Democrats can magically snatch defeat from the jaws of a potential Texas victory: by nominating Dallas-area Representative Jasmine Crockett for the seat.
Ed: I think Blehar underestimates Paxton’s popularity here in Texas, where most if not all of the scandal stuff has been aired for at least one election cycle. He may be overestimating Cornyn’s popularity too, especially after the gun-control bill. But he’s not wrong about the disastrous impact Crockett will have on the Democrat ticket in Texas in the midterms.

CBS News: In July 2019, Minnesota state officials spotted early signs of fraud that would eventually siphon away more than $1 billion in taxpayer money, but they quickly faced pressure from leaders of the charitable group Feeding Our Future to stop asking questions, according to multiple former employees at the Minnesota Department of Education. …
Acting U.S. Attorney Lisa D. Kirkpatrick said those convicted “took advantage of the Covid-19 pandemic to carry out a massive fraud scheme that stole money meant to feed children.”
But state officials say the schemes aimed at diverting federal dollars meant for people who are poor, food insecure or disabled, actually started far sooner, months after Minnesota’s Democratic Gov. Tim Walz took office in 2019. In its early stages, members of the charitable group Feeding Our Future billed the state for some $3.4 million.
By 2021, however, that number ballooned. Before it was finally halted, Feeding Our Future had falsely claimed to have served 91 million meals, for which the group received nearly $250 million in federal funds, according to federal prosecutors. That money did not go to feed kids, federal officials said. Instead it was used to fund lavish lifestyles.
Ed: The Power Line writers have been reporting this for months, and more. It’s good to see CBS and other media outlets finally starting to expose this fraud, but the DoJ has been prosecuting this for a long time, and the media couldn’t be bothered to look into this when Walz was on the Democrat ticket.
===
Ed: This is the interview I did with Bill Glahn from Power Line and the Center of the American Experiment about the details of all the fraud being uncovered in Minnesota. I filled in for Drew yesterday. The first half of this hour was a good discussion with Alex Schadenberg of EPCC about euthanasia.

Spiked: Georgina Mumford: Where do you think the conversation on trans is in the UK right now? Have we turned a corner?
Graham Linehan: It’s difficult to say for certain. Sometimes I think that the world might be destroyed by embarrassment. By that I mean a lot of people are now realising they bet on the wrong horse, but simply cannot admit it – because if they admit it, they admit to all sorts of awful accompanying things, like putting children in danger, mutilating and sterilising gay people, putting rapists in women’s prisons and so on. The sheer embarrassment of that must be so extraordinary that I imagine people, who may have otherwise seen sense, have now backed themselves into a corner.
I’m not sure that’s what the rest of the fight looks like. I think my arrest at Heathrow recently is a sign that the trans lobby is losing, and now they’re lashing out. I think we’re going to see a few more examples of this. A man in Switzerland just got 10 days in prison for saying that male and female skeletons are different. I am hopeful that it just gets to a stage where the whole thing finally dissipates, but you never know. These people are really digging their heels in, and it’s very hard to move them. All we can do is keep trying. The fact that they know they’re losing makes them all the more dangerous.
Ed: That’s usually the end stage of all cults. That’s what this is. We’d better be prepared to deal with its collapse.

Hey @elonmusk! You were right again! Preschool Propaganda: Study Finds 41% of Netflix Kids Shows Include LGBT Themes @CWforA@YWforAhttps://t.co/OWkvwOFh5J
— Penny Nance (@PYNance) December 8, 2025
Ed: As the Daily Wire goes on to note: “According to the study, one-third of all Netflix shows rated for children contain LGBTQ characters, themes, or messaging, and the percentage jumps to 41% in both TV-G and TV-Y7 categories. In other words, the shows most aggressively marketed to the youngest viewers now routinely include sexual-identity content that would have been unthinkable in children’s entertainment just a decade ago.” The full study can be found at this link. Daily Wire: Netflix is being dragged hard for the storyline of its upcoming series, “Queen of Coal,” which is so woke it sounds made up.
The Spanish-Argentine series will be released in America on December 19 and is making the rounds on social media for its ultra-leftist storyline. Per the logline, it’s about “a trans woman [who] dreams of working the coal mines — but in a town steeped in superstition and patriarchy, Carlita must fight to earn her place underground.” …
“Is this a joke?” one person wondered about “Queen of Coal.”
“‘Why are you so against Netflix buying Warner Bros. and HBO?’ HERE’S WHY: Their upcoming film ‘Queen of Coal’ is about a man who transitions, then has to fight against his ‘conservative small-town community’, shown as hostile and evil, to keep his dream job in the mines,” conservative podcaster Benny Johnson wrote.

Florida Phoenix via Yahoo: Gov. Ron DeSantis said a lawsuit filed against him by a Muslim civil rights group he recently declared a terrorist organization is “very much welcome.”
Monday, DeSantis declared via executive order that the Muslim Brotherhood and the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) are foreign terrorist organizations. CAIR promised a lawsuit, alleging defamation and that the order is unconstitutional.
The governor during a news conference about water quality in North Miami Beach Tuesday said state Attorney General James Uthmeier “is ready, willing, and able to be fighting” the lawsuit.
DeSantis said the lawsuit will give the state discovery rights to the organization’s bank records and other information.
Ed: I am very certain that DeSantis made his move with the intention of provoking CAIR into a lawsuit. It seems unlikely that the state of Florida could have forced access to CAIR’s financing and communications without it. It’s a briar-patch strategy – although in CAIR’s defense, they probably had no choice but to engage.
===
CAIR falsely claims “nor do we serve any foreign powers.” Two weeks after 9/11, it linked on the main page of its website to the Holy Land Foundation, which was later convicted on sending $16 million to Hamas, under guise of helping the victims of the 9/11 attacks. https://t.co/633epaj2wp
