J-L Cauvin\u2019s is a bit better, although only a bit. What\u2019s freaky about Foxx\u2019s version is how different his normal speaking voice is from Trump\u2019s. Cauvin\u2019s isn\u2019t wildly different; if you\u2019ve ever listened to his podcast and heard him segue from \u201cTrump\u201d to his natural range, you\u2019ve had the thought, \u201cOh, yeah, I see the resemblance now.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>With Foxx, it\u2019s totally out of left field. The first time I watched this, I wondered if he was lip-syncing to the audio of someone else\u2019s impression. It\u2019s that disorienting.<\/p>\n<p>But make up your own mind. The first clip is Foxx, the second is Cauvin\u2019s insta-response. The line \u201cThey tried to give me the virus!\u201d cracked me up.
