\ud83c\uddec\ud83c\udde7 <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/3DGcvhvZgH\">pic.twitter.com\/3DGcvhvZgH<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Inevitable West (@Inevitablewest) <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Inevitablewest\/status\/2044443815272956106?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">April 15, 2026<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>It&#8217;s being benignly termed a &#8216;cost-cutting drive.&#8217; What it is in actuality is a slash-and-burn attempt to close at least a <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/2026\/02\/bbc-seeking-savings-10-percent-tim-davie-final-act-1236717287\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-pasted=\"true\">\u00a3500M<\/a> ($675M) chunk <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/2026\/04\/bbc-plans-2000-layoffs-1236861376\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">of a massive overall budget gap<\/a>.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \" data-pasted=\"true\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/bbc\/\" id=\"auto-tag_bbc\" data-tag=\"bbc\" target=\"_blank\">BBC<\/a> is planning to make up to 2,000 job cuts in one of its most brutal cost-cutting efforts to date.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">Rhodri Talfan Davies, the BBC\u2019s interim director general, announced the redundancy proposals in an all-staff call on Wednesday afternoon local time.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \"><strong><em>He said between 1,800 and 2,000 roles will go over the next two years, with more details to come from September, meaning staff face an anxious wait to find out where the axe will fall.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \"><em><strong>The BBC will open a voluntary redundancy scheme to avoid compulsory layoffs<\/strong><\/em>, Talfan Davies told staff, according to Deadline sources.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Being state-run media and even more progressively woke, insufferably arrogant, and entitled than our own PBS was, the BBC blames the British public.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>&#8230;Sources said Talfan Davies and BBC CFO B\u00e9rang\u00e8re Michel painted a bleak picture of the corporation\u2019s finances. <em><strong>They said it was unsustainable that 94% of the UK population use the BBC every month, but fewer than 80% pay the \u00a3180 annual licence fee.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\u201c<em><strong>If we had a funding model that mirrored our consumption, all of this [the cuts] would go away<\/strong><\/em>,\u201d he told staff, per one insider. \u201cWe have a funding model at the moment that is unsustainable and is reaching the end of its sell-by date.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13;<br \/>\n        &#13;<br \/>\n&#13;<br \/>\n&#13;<\/p>\n<p>This is where the BBC&#8217;s decades of government-enforcement entitlement have finally met a reality check it cannot circumvent.<\/p>\n<p>Unlike our PBS, whose $550M yearly stipends from the federal government were irksome to contemplate, but minuscule in comparison to the overall burden taxpayers carry &#8211; something like a buck forty from each of us &#8211; the BBC is supposed to receive a yearly government-mandated &#8216;television fee&#8217; from every household.<\/p>\n<p>As our son, Ebola<strong>*<\/strong>, discovered to his great irritation when he came home from base on day to a politely worded but threatening letter from the local enforcement arm of the collection program. From the roof of his townhome hangs a dilapidated satellite dish, clinging bravely by virtue of one rusted screw and the cables that run back into the attic.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s the owner&#8217;s, not our son&#8217;s, and probably hasn&#8217;t worked since Sputnik in any event.<\/p>\n<p>Our son has only innerwebs and no TV cable or antenna of any other sort in the home, and wouldn&#8217;t watch the BBC to save his life.<\/p>\n<p>The BBC TV License Enforcement Officers have little vans that drive through neighborhoods all over the UK, constantly looking for telltale signs of signal connections, like this petrified and obviously inoperable dish. When they find such evidence, they bounce the address against their database to see if the resident is up to date on their TV license fee. If they are, they continue the hunt.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>If they are not, they get the letter Ebola received, warning them to immediately pay the \u00a3180, or be prepared for an unannounced knock on the door for an inspection. No correction or retraction afterward. The Beeb is still trying to get Trump&#8217;s $10B lawsuit <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/media\/2026\/mar\/16\/bbc-us-court-throw-out-donald-trump-10bn-lawsuit-chilling-effect\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">against them for manipulating video thrown out.<\/a> Sterling characters in that company.<\/p>\n<p>These are only recent examples of the BBC&#8217;s years of stomping with impunity all over the cherished values, storied kings and queens of yore, and traditions of those working-class Brits forced to hand over the BBC&#8217;s geld. A class of citizens who have decided they no longer will bow to these threats and intimidation and aren&#8217;t going to pay for the BBC to kick them around anymore.<\/p>\n<p>This fellow has a longish video describing himself experiencing precisely what Ebola went through, but is helping foment rebellion, hence he&#8217;s gotten more visits.<\/p>\n<p>The first few minutes are eye-opening.<\/p>\n<p><div class=\"youtube-embed\" data-video_id=\"hTCsNrC1_LU\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"BBC TV License Enforcement Officers Come Knocking at my Door as License Fee Payers Collapse!\" width=\"696\" height=\"392\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/hTCsNrC1_LU?feature=oembed&#038;enablejsapi=1\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/p>\n<p>There are now close to two and a half million households unwilling to part with their hard-earned money to subsidize a government propaganda operation they heartily despise, \u00a0which they well know equally despises them.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13;<br \/>\n        &#13;<br \/>\n&#13;<br \/>\n&#13;<\/p>\n<p>So they&#8217;ve cut the BBC cord, door knockers and all.<\/p>\n<p>Even <a href=\"https:\/\/www.telegraph.co.uk\/news\/2025\/11\/18\/bbc-clothes-show-presenter-boycott-licence-fee-bias-banks\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">former BBC show hosts<\/a> are pushing a boycott of the fee over the network&#8217;s insufferable and unrelenting bias.<\/p>\n<p><em>YOU&#8217;RE NOW ON OUR LIST<\/em><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p data-pasted=\"true\">The former presenter of the BBC\u2019s Clothes Show has stopped paying his licence fee in protest at \u201cextreme bias\u201d at the broadcaster.<\/p>\n<p>Jeff Banks, the fashion designer and former BBC presenter, <em><strong>said he was being pursued by <a class=\"ck-custom-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.telegraph.co.uk\/politics\/2025\/11\/16\/nigel-farage-reform-bbc-licence-fee-amend-royal-charter\/\" target=\"_blank\">licence fee<\/a> collectors after he stopped paying the annual charge.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Banks claimed he had received five \u201cthreatening letters\u201d telling him that he could be fined and that enforcers would come to his home.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>The designer said he wrote to the BBC in August saying that he no longer wished to have a licence, after concluding that the corporation\u2019s <a class=\"ck-custom-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.telegraph.co.uk\/news\/2025\/11\/09\/how-telegraphs-revelations-made-tim-davies-position\/\" target=\"_blank\">news coverage was biased<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>He has accused TV Licensing of harassment by continuing to pursue him.<\/p>\n<p>Posting a video on social media, Banks, 82, said: \u201cI have actually given up watching the BBC and listening to the BBC so on August 19 of this year, when I got a demanding letter that I have a licence, I wrote back very respectfully and said, \u2018I don\u2019t want one. I don\u2019t watch any more and I don\u2019t listen to BBC radio any more\u2019.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>\u201cIn my day, the World Service was held in esteem. It\u2019s not any more. People are doubtful whether it\u2019s actually telling the truth and the BBC has become <a class=\"ck-custom-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.telegraph.co.uk\/news\/2025\/11\/15\/the-bbc-needs-unconscious-bias-training\/\" target=\"_blank\">extremely biased<\/a>.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>\u201cSince then I\u2019ve had five threatening letters sent to me insisting that if I don\u2019t get a licence<em><strong>\u00a0I could actually be fined up to \u00a31,000, and the last one that arrived last week actually threatened me [that] people were going to come to my house to investigate me because I\u2019m now on a list.\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Orwell<a href=\"https:\/\/www.telegraph.co.uk\/news\/2025\/11\/05\/bbc-poisonous-group-think-destroying-britain\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">\u00a0might well have modeled<\/a> Big Brother on the BBC.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13;<br \/>\n        &#13;<br \/>\n&#13;<br \/>\n&#13;<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p data-pasted=\"true\">&#8230;There is endless hand-wringing, much of it justified, over the impact of demented online personalities and fake news, yet the BBC\u2019s role in corrupting our national debate through its ideological gatekeeping is overlooked.<\/p>\n<p>Our pathetic growth and diminished living standards? <em><strong>The BBC made life hard for any politician who had the temerity to call for lower spending, reduced red tape or lower tax rates, the obvious solutions. Years of excessive immigration, which has, inter alia, <a class=\"ck-custom-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.telegraph.co.uk\/news\/2025\/10\/20\/islam-britain-terrorism-attacks-problem-time-to-act\/\" target=\"_blank\">fuelled Islamism<\/a>? For decades, it wasn\u2019t possible to propose lower migration without accusations of racism.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Net zero, which destroyed industry and pushed up energy prices, was pushed almost uncritically by the BBC.
