In a departure from the traditional discretion expected of a former first family, Hunter Biden launched a scathing critique of the Democrat Party\u2019s current leadership, describing the lefty establishment as a \u201cconsultant-driven class\u201d that lacks the fortitude necessary for the current political climate. <\/p>\n

During a recent interview, the former first son expressed his deep-seated frustration with the party\u2019s obsession with \u201ccivility\u201d over strategy and practicality. <\/p>\n

He argued that the Democrats\u2019 top brass has prioritized maintaining its own standing within the Washington ecosystem over delivering the \u201cspine-stiffening\u201d leadership required to combat a revitalized Republican opposition.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut more than anything, we just have to unify \u2014 not just as Democrats. I\u2019m kind of sick of party labels. I am disappointed in much of the Democratic Party, leadership in Congress, in the United States Senate,\u201d he said, according to the\u00a0New York Post.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cI look at somebody like Mayor Mamdani, and I\u2019m inspired, absolutely, completely inspired by the way in which he has not only won his election but the way that he\u2019s leading now,\u201d he continued.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

According to analysts, his remarks appear to be rooted in the lack of loyalty shown to his father, former President Joe Biden, by party elites and advisors during the 2024 election cycle.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

Hunter specifically pointed to a disconnect between the Democratic National Committee (DNC) and the far-left \u201cgrassroots\u201d base, arguing that the party\u2019s leadership is suffering from a lack of vision.<\/p>\n

Standing in contrast to his dim view of party leadership was Hunter\u2019s effusive praise for Governor Gavin Newsom (D-Calif.). Hunter hailed the current California governor as the party\u2019s \u201cgreatest warrior,\u201d a title he bestowed due to Newsom\u2019s \u201cwillingness to take the fight\u201d against Republican and conservative policies.<\/p>\n

According to Hunter, Newsom is the ideal archetype for the future of the Democrat Party platform since he possesses a \u201cwarrior instinct,\u201d in his own words, that is absent in the current leadership. <\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

He specifically noted that Newsom\u2019s strategy of \u201caggressive advocacy\u201d \u2014 his habit of traveling into politically hostile territory to defend Democrat polices \u2014 is the exact blueprint the party should be following to regain its footing.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, left-wing critics argue that Hunter\u2019s involvement gives Republicans an easy target, allowing them to link the Democrat Party\u2019s future to the Biden family\u2019s legal troubles, in addition to the slew of other personal baggage. <\/p>\n

His endorsement of Newsom only complicates the party\u2019s internal power struggles as it prepares for the next election cycles.<\/p>\n
